This year we are featuring art work from Sleeping Dragon, one of the Victoria anarchist community's most important, if short-lived, publishing initiatives. The first issue came out in Spring 2000 and the journal continued into 2001. Members of the collective were involved in many local and regional actions, most notably the defense of old growth forests in the Elaho Valley. They also profiled Indigenous struggles, past and present, and worked to open up the cityscape to radical interventions. Stirring things up from an anti-authoritarian perspective was Sleeping Dragon's mandate and we of the Victoria Anarchist Bookfair share that ambition. Sleeping Dragon showcased great graphics by Vrinda and others, some of which are profiled on our web page. Check out each of the small buttons on the top-right of the site and enjoy!
